Fall Events on Hilton Head Island and Bluffton

Summer isn’t the only time to enjoy Hilton Head Island. Many visitors plan their trips during the cooler months when roads, beaches, and bike paths are less crowded, restaurants don’t have long wait times, and the weather is mild, rarely dropping below 50 degrees. Outdoor activities remain accessible year-round, and of course, being by the beach is enjoyable any time of year.

Farmers Markets

Hilton Head Island Farmers Market takes place every Tuesday from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Coastal Discovery Museum. Bluffton Farmers Market is held every Thursday from 12 PM to 5 PM on Calhoun Street in Bluffton.

Bluffton Night Bazaar

Hosted in the courtyard of Burnt Church Distillery, this artisan market features local makers, live music, food, and drinks. It runs from October through December on the first Thursday of each month from 5 PM to 8 PM.

Lowcountry Made Bluffton Market

Located at Buckwalter Place Park, this artisan market features local makers, live music, food, and more. It is held every first and third Saturday of the month from 9 AM to 1 PM.

Hilton Head Island Shrimp Festival

A family-friendly event featuring shrimp dishes from local chefs, craft beer tastings, live music, and an activity-filled kid zone. This year it takes place on Saturday, September 24 from 1 PM to 4 PM on the lawn near the Liberty Oak in Harbour Town at The Sea Pines Resort.

Harbour Town Fall Fest

Celebrate the season with a Harbour Town Shops sidewalk sale, live music from Deas-Guyz, nautical activities, watersports, tours, dining on the harbour, and a display of classic cars. The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 25 from 11 AM to 6 PM in Harbour Town at The Sea Pines Resort.

Blufftemberfest Sunset Party

A family-friendly sundown event with live music, food, and craft beer at Oyster Factory Park in downtown Bluffton. This year’s festival will be held on Saturday, September 24 from 3 PM to 8 PM

Bluffton Boiled Peanut Festival

An annual celebration of the Lowcountry’s favorite snack with a cook-off, contests, and fun activities. Scheduled for Saturday, September 24 from 12 PM to 6 PM in downtown Bluffton.

Coligny’s Rock & Ribs Festival

Two days of world-class BBQ and rock music featuring celebrity chefs, a private concert by Grammy award-winning Angie Aparo, and a main tasting headlined by Blues Traveler. The event runs October 14–15 in Coligny on Hilton Head Island.

Bluffton Arts & Seafood Festival

A weeklong celebration of seafood, Lowcountry cuisine, local art, and culture. This year’s festival runs from October 15–23 in downtown Bluffton with different events scheduled each day.

Italian Heritage Festival

Enjoy authentic Italian food, desserts, live music, and family-friendly activities at the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. This year’s festival will be held Saturday, October 22 from 11 AM to 4 PM.
